UVM Health Network

The UVM Health Network is an integrated health network of six hospitals and multiple clinics including the UVM Medical Center, the state’s largest hospital and academic medical center.

FFF worked closely with senior management to find a new home for the health network’s leadership team. The start-to-finish process included helping the health network evaluate and choose a new site from several options, designing the space to meet the leadership team’s unique needs, and supervising construction through to occupancy.

The light and airy space was designed to balance executives’ twin desires for openness and privacy. The client first asked for a completely open floor plan, but further probing by the design team led them to adopt a hybrid model that includes glass-enclosed, semi-private office spaces, private focus rooms, and communal meeting spaces.

Furniture and finishes emphasize warm neutrals, curated artwork, and an abundance of natural wood. The project has been certified LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council.
