Leadership Changes at Freeman French Freeman
May 31, 2022As we celebrate our 85th year in business, Freeman French Freeman is excited to announce the following leadership changes:
Jesse Beck, AIA, NCARB – President Emeritus
Alex Halpern, AIA, NCARB – President
Shawn Brennan, AIA – Vice President
Catherine Lange, AIA, NCARB, LEED APBD+C – Associate Principal
Josh Crandall, AIA – Associate Principal
In addition, two architects with over 30 years of combined service to the firm take on expanded roles as Senior Project Managers:
Jesse Robbins, AIA, LEED APBD+C
Brian Leet, AIA, LEED APBD+C
“I couldn’t be more thrilled with the team we have in place right now,” says Jesse Beck, who will retire at the end of 2022 after 33 years as President. “Alex, Shawn and I have led FFF as a team for over 20 years, so I know I am leaving the firm in good hands. We’ve had great success in tackling many of Vermont’s most complex projects together. We couldn’t have done any of this without talented people on staff and great partners in the community. I know this collaborative approach and commitment to community will continue long after I leave the building.”
Alex Halpern, who assumes the role of President on June 1, 2022, said it is not possible to overstate Beck’s contributions to the built environment. “I have worked with Jesse for over 25 years,” says Alex, “and you can see his impact in communities in every corner of the state. Whether it’s the Burlington International Airport, the Waterbury State Office Complex, or at college campuses around Vermont, Jesse’s legacy will live on long after his retirement.”
Established in 1937, Freeman French Freeman is Vermont’s longest operating architecture firm. Our Burlington-based studio works with clients to create a more beautiful, sustainable, and just built environment in communities across northern New England.
