NEFCU Shelburne Road

New England Federal Credit Union

Vermont’s largest credit union turned to Freeman French Freeman to create a whole new design for its flagship South Burlington branch. Using only about half of the square footage of the building it replaced, the physical workspace was completely redesigned to increase employee efficiency, reinforce the NEFCU brand, and elevate the customer experience.

The new branch includes several innovative features that reflect the changing nature of personal banking. Concierge stations provide a personal touch to greet customers and ensure that individual needs are handled quickly and efficiently. For tech-savvy customers, sleek new iPad and PC kiosks provide direct access to NEFCU’s online services and reduce the need for additional tellers.

The open and airy space receives ample natural light from the curved glass curtain wall, which also provides passers-by a welcoming view inside. Warm neutrals and an abundance of natural wood complete the interior space. LEED Silver certified.
